Oops, I Did It Again!

Well, after promising not to disappear I did it again. Oops! What can I say? I've had company, was spoiled rotten at a perfect baby shower, got sick and to top it all of I'm EIGHT months pregnant and TIRED!

But I am back today, so let's get back in the swing of things with a story that shows you how...um...smart? I am.

A couple of months ago, Ricky and I started noticing that when I would sit up from lounging on the couch my baby bump would get a bulge in the middle.

"Is that the baby?" we wondered.

We assumed that it was and we started spending lots of time on that little bulge. We talked to it, Ricky kissed it, we stroked it--it was a very spoiled little bulge.

About a month ago I pointed it out at a doctor's appointment and said "that's the baby, isn't it?"

The doctor, God love her, managed not to laugh at Ricky and me (until she left the room, I'm sure) as she explained that no, those were actually my stomach muscles. My baby bump forces them out a little bit causing the bulge.

Oh.

So for several weeks, Ricky and I were lavishing all that attention on my stomach muscles???

I hope Little Ricky wasn't jealous!

Hi Britney.

Hilarious! I love this story--you have to put it in the baby book!

Glad your back to blogging! Isn't being pregnant both wonderful and weird? My first baby was big (10lbs, 12oz) and I just don't think she had enough room in my tummy. About a week before I had her, I felt my stomache push up hard and when I put my hand on it I could actually feel her little hand, fingers and all! It was cute and creepy all at the same time!
