Little Ricky's Nursery

We are 23 days from our due date (gulp!) The bags are packed; the diapers, bottles and other necessities are bought; the nursery is finished.

I must admit one of the hardest things about preparing for this baby was putting the nursery together. The 1st day we went out to look at furniture and bedding, I cried.

No, I'm not being dramatic. I cried, like melt-down cried. There were so many options, and I didn't yet know what I wanted the room to look like, but I knew I wanted it to be perfect for our little man. So I cried.

And then I came across Marisa Haedike of Creative Thursday. She creates the most beautiful artwork and I immediately fell in love with one piece in particular.

At this point it all came together. I loved the picture, I loved the colors, so the rest of the nursery--bedding, furniture, other artwork (all by Marisa)--fell into place.

So for your viewing pleasure, Little Ricky's room...

I LOVE the nursery. It is beautiful and perfect for L.M. I can't wait to see him and what he looks like. You better have Jose or someone text me when baby starts to come! I won't be able to stand it!

Also, when I read your last post about Barry Manilow, I thought you had written that you went to work in a WAREhouse. That thought really made me laugh outloud! Ha!

Oh, don't you worry about being notified when I go into labor. I plan to twitter, FB, blog the whole event! You'll all be sick of me by the time the baby actually arrives! :)

I'm extremely jealous of your Better Homes and Gardens nursery. It's gorgeous.

I saw your comment on Southern Domestic Goddess and had to come by and visit (okay, it was actually your picture that hooked me in!). I went through a stage in my late teen's where I was watching I Love Lucy on Nick at Nite every night. Then I started taping them so I'd have every episode! I just loved it. Your nursery is beautiful!!!

That's a lovely, serene setting. i have a friend who recently had triplets (!) and she decorated their room in the exact same motif. It's very restful.
