Christmas in the 80's

Well, I feel like I have officially hit the big time! Karen over at I Don't Think Prada Is The Answer They're Looking For asked me to be a guest writer today for her awesome blog.

(I know what you're thinking. How is it I can find time to write a post for someone else's blog, but I can't find time to write something for my own?)

(Let's just call it a Christmas mystery.)

So take a little break from the holiday madness and go check out my post. It's all about Christmas during a simpler time. A time of Wham and Duran Duran. A time of Family Ties and 21 Jump Street. A time of big hair and blue eyeshadow.

That's right, folks, I'm talking about the 80's.

So put on a little "Do They Know It's Christmas?" by Band Aid and take a little trip back in time. Then hop back to the present and check out the rest of Karen's blog. I think you'll find lots to enjoy there.

Thanks for writing that for my blog! You did a great job -- the vintage advertisement really sold it :)

(PS: I was totally wondering how you found time, but was grateful either way!)

I was happy to do it. Although I must be honest, I just happened to check back through my email last night about 11:30 and saw your reminder. At that point I thought "OH SH**!"

After weeks of planning to write it and get it to you ahead of time I ended up doing it at the last minute. Ahhhh, procrastination. We go back a long way.
