Wow! I received so many compliments on our new duvet cover! Thanks! We really like it, but I must admit once I got home with it I thought "I must be crazy!"
Our former comforter had been around for a while and we had definitely worn it out! It was already starting to show some wear and then SOMEONE pooped on it this summer. Once I laundered the comforter it was really on it's last leg! Little holes, scorch marks on the fabric from the dryer--it was purty!
We've been looking for a while, but have had a really hard time finding something we like. Either we only kind of liked something. Or we loved it but it was super expensive. Or I loved it and Ricky said no.
Actually Ricky and I have similar taste on these kind of things, but for some reason he put his foot down on this one.

But then wandering the aisles of Bed, Bath & Beyond one day I found it. And I LOVED it! And then I got it home and thought "I just bought a predominantly white duvet cover and I have an infant who pooped on my last one and a husband who just walks into the kitchen and ends up with food all over him. SMART!!"
So we have established some duvet ground rules!
- We do not use the duvet when we sleep. It is folded back to the foot of the bed where drool, left-over eye make-up, etc. can not get on it.
- We do not sit on it. Find somewhere else to put your shoes on, Ricky! The floor looks nice.
- Under absolutely no circumstances is Little Ricky allowed on it. He is a messy peeing and pooping machine and I fear for the life of my duvet every time he's even in the same room with it.
So there you have it. Another practical purchase by Lucy!
