We Invite You All To Come To Texas!*

A couple of weeks ago, Little Ricky and I left Ricky to fend for himself and we jetted off to visit the McGillicuddy's in Texas. (In case you aren't up on your I Love Lucy trivia, McGillicuddy was her maiden name before she married Ricky Ricardo. Making the McGillicudy's MY immediate family.)

We had a wonderful time in Texas and were there at just the right time of year. Texas can get hellish hot, but while we were there and Chicago was still feeling the chill, we enjoyed high 70's/low 80's and nice breezes. Ahhhhh...

As proof of our good time I came home with over 200 pictures on my digital camera. I'm not going to share ALL of them with you, but did want to show you some of our fun.

While in Texas, Little Ricky...

enjoyed naps on the porch with Auntie A

hung out with cousin, Little Man and Pappy T

played in the sand box (wasn't sure what he thought about it!)

ate sand from the sandbox

rode his first tricycle

celebrated Little Man's SIXTH (!) birthday

spent many an afternoon "just a swangin'" (Anyone remember that song??)

Tried out the slide with a little help (okay, a BIG push!) from Little Man

cruised the backyard with Pappy T

spent a little time in the fort with cousin, Little Man

visited the beautiful garden of a friend with Mommy, Little Man & Auntie A

got worn OUT!

(so did Little Man!)

sat for a photo shoot in the Texas bluebonnets (as you can see it was NOT successful. Little Ricky was scared of the grass (city baby!) and Little Man was bored off his gourd. Boys!)

posed with Nan-Nan & Pappy T (and an uninterested Little Man. Actually his allergies were driving him CRAZY so he was DONE with the pictures, poor little guy!)

posed with Mommy (too bad she didn't fix her hair, huh?!?)

enjoyed LOTS of playtime with Little Man

Cuddled with Nan-Nan (my mother, the neat freak, who thought it was hilarious when he INTENTIONALLY threw green peas all over her kitchen floor! Grandkids have made her crazy!)

And last, but certainly not least, got LOTS of smooches from sweet cousin, Little Man!

So as you can see, we had a fantastic time that went much too fast! Tune in tomorrow for some more Texas talk!
