Can You Tell Me How to Get to Sesame Street

I grew up watching Sesame Street and Little Ricky is already a Sesame Street fan as well.

(I know, I know, I've read the studies about no TV until kids are 2. But you can only follow so many studies (breastfeed for the first year, co-sleep, don't co-sleep, swaddle, and on and on and on) before you go crazy. Plus he likes Elmo. So shoot me.)

Anyway, we like Sesame Street in our house and we like books. So what better combo than Sesame Street books?

How about ONLINE Sesame Street books?

Through Sesame Street eBooks, you can read a book to your child while looking at the illustration on your computer screen, you can listen to someone else (like Grover or Bob from the show) read a book or you can watch an animated version of a book.

And because it's Sesame Street, all of the books are educational. There are books about numbers, letters, animals, colors, the arts and MORE!

And you can access all of these books (over 100!) by subscribing to the Sesame Street eBookstore for only $39.99 a year.

Recently I was offered a free month's subscription and I was so excited to try it out! I pulled Little Ricky up on my knee and started clicking through titles.

Naturally we had to try an Elmo book first so we looked at 1, 2, 3 by Elmo. After that we tried out a variety of books--ones that I read to him, some read by others and animated books.

Little Ricky seemed the most engaged with the animated books, but I do have to admit that he got restless pretty quickly. BUT he is only one. I think an older kiddo would stay engaged longer.

Once I set Little Ricky free to play I did my own playing as I tried out more of the books. I especially enjoyed the interactive books where the reader is asked to find certain objects in the pictures.

I found all of the books to be educational and entertaining and will look into getting a subscription once my little guy is older.

And now YOU should go try these books out! There are four free titles this week and one of them is the classic Monster at the End of This Book read by Grover himself!!

Happy reading!
